Makuwa Safari Lodge

Makuwa Safari Lodge is situated in the Greater Kruger National Park about 20 kilometres from the Orpen Gate. Makuwa Safari Lodge is the ideal base from which to explore the Kruger National Park and the surrounding areas of Mpumalanga. We are also a child-friendly lodge. Guests can enjoy a cocktail while the sun sets over the Drakensberg in front of them for a delicious meal prepared by the staff.Beyond the lawns, behind the fence, is Makuwa Safaris Lodge's private reserve which is home to buffalo, zebras, nyalas, kudus and also sometimes leopards, wild dogs and lions.

Makuwa is an open and airy lodge. The open-plan kitchen and living area leads to a sheltered patio. There is also a boma area under fig trees and is the ideal place to enjoy a meal under the starry sky.
