Mackaya Bella Country Lodge offers dinner, bed & breakfast and is located in Rood Nature Reserve, the most beautiful part of the uKhahlamba Drakensberg Mountain Range, in Central Drakensberg. The access road is unpaved. All-terrain vehicles, & vehicles with good clearance are recommended during the Summer rainy season.Each 18 square-metre thatched-roof rondawel contains a comfy queen-size bed and a private bathroom with a shower and basin, and a separate toilet and basin. Road access:
During the Summer rainy season, a 4-wheel drive or a high-rise SUV is recommended (approximately October to March).

For the rest of the year, a vehicle with good ground clearance is recommended. We have a scheduled free transfer for guests to/from a secure location on the main road each day and transfers outside these times for a fee. Parking is available at this location.
