Maasai Trails is based in the Loita Hills, on the western edge of the Great Rift Valley just north of the Tanzanian border. Jan’s Camp, the base for all the walking trips, is set on a ridge overlooking the rolling Loita Hills. The Loita Forest is an area steeped in history and Maasai culture. Bookings are accepted on the condition that guests have their own comprehensive travel insurance cover. The balance is payable in full 35 days prior to arrival date. Guests are required to complete a registration card on check-in. For guests departing on the afternoon, a surcharge may apply for meals and activities until afternoon departure. Late departures must be pre-booked and are subject to availability of vehicle/ service to cater for this. We reserve the right to review published rates in the event of currency exchange rate fluctuation, increase in park fees, in costs or taxes that are beyond our control.
