About Lido Hotel

Lido Hotel is an art deco-style building dating back as far as the 1930s. The hotel offers bed and breakfast accommodation in 24 beautifully decorated rooms, and conference facilities. It is situated only 10 minutes from the Nasrec Exibition Centre, Soccer City and the Johannesburg business centre.

This historically protected building boasts 24 rooms and each en-suite bathroom offers a diva bath and Indian rock tiled bathroom walls. The rooms are fully fitted with bedding and towels provided, and they feature large balconies. The Lido Hotel has a big swimming pool and a children’s pool set in a serene and relaxing environment. The hotel is well placed in the Kliprivier Conservancy and Khoisan Land.

Guests can experience gracious hospitality with a breakfast, pub lunch, á la carte menu, Sunday buffet and a braai at the swimming pool with live music. The Lido Hotel, which was once a trading post, is still the ideal stopover for those travelling through the area. This beautiful, historical building has its rich heritage protected as one of our national treasures.

Wedding Venues: We have a beautiful and romantic chapel, that is sure to generate many lasting wedding memories. The banquet hall is still fitted with the original spring-loaded wooden dance floor.

Conference Venues: We offer complete or partial conferencing facilities that can be customized to include accommodation and transfers.

                  The service at this hotel is disgusting. There was one lady at reception on our arrival, who was not very helpful. Couldn't problem solve...all questions asked were answered with " You will have to speak to my manager in the morning as it was early hours of the morning"The hotel is dirty, old furniture, damp musky smell. We were too scared to sleep on the bed, wondering if there were bed bugs.There is nothing nice about this hotel...what a disappointment after a ten hour drive that left us totally drained and exhausted.I will never go back there again, neither would I recommend them to anyone....
