Nooitverwacht is a haven for Africa's beauty and houses an incredible variety of wildlife. Our rangers, trackers and on-site staff are part of a fantastic team of enthusiastic animal lovers who love to share their knowledge of the bushveld. Game drives are offered twice a day on the premises and it is planned in this way to get the best opportunity for game viewing. Game drives in the evening can also be arranged, in search of the leopard or hyenas on the premises. Our rangers will always prioritize guests' safety, but guests are also warned to be responsible at all times.
Guests can also explore parts of the reserve from top-class quad bikes. Guests should inform us of their level of experience so that the right routes can be booked. There are also other activities on the reserve such as Big 5 hiking trails, guided hiking trails, bird watching safaris, photography safaris, mountain biking trails, safari picnics and clay pigeon shooting.
Consistently note that there is no fence between the lodge and reserve. Leopards, rhinos and buffalo are spotted on Nooitverwacht and can roam freely throughout the reserve and the lodge areas. Poisonous snakes and scorpions are also found on the premises, so please be. be vigilant and wear shoes when walking around the camp at night. All guests entering the reserve and making use of the facilities offered to them do so at their own risk. Under no circumstances may guests without the guidance of a staff member or security guard walk around in the evenings. Located in a low-risk malaria area.
