About Lekkerwijn Historic Country Guest House

Lekkerwijn is a historic Cape Dutch homestead near Franschhoek, furnished with Cape Dutch furniture in a large garden setting. The guest house offers accommodation in seven en-suite rooms with Wi-Fi access and a self-catering cottage furnished with king-size, double or single beds. Each room is equipped with a heater, tea and coffee facilities and all rooms are non-smoking.

Guests can also enjoy lovely garden or mountain views from their rooms. The self-catering cottage is equipped with a small kitchenette as well as a dining area and lounge with a desk. The grounds and gardens feature a pool area and a petting zoo with miniature animals to keep children entertained. A nursery is also available with professional child care staff on hand.

Breakfast is included and other meals and services are available on request. In addition, a chauffeur is available to drive guests to restaurants, wineries and local weddings. Lekkerwijn offers a lovely setting for weddings and is situated in the heart of the Cape wine country, about a 15-minute drive from Stellenbosch and Paarl.

Kayla and Spasie are extremely friendly and very helpful. Both of them made sure that our stay was very comfortable and Kayla showed us around and suggested that we just contact her if there was anything that we needed. However, I would suggest that they put an extra roll of toilet paper in the cupboard under the wash basin. As guests you don't feel you should ask for another toilet roll.. The stay in the Manor House was very comfortable and everything was clean and tidy. Our recommendation though, would be that the outside of the property needs to be cleaned up as well as the garden...

What a gem. Tucked away 15 km outside Franschoek away from all the bustle. I had the most delightful roomnwirh a littlr garden. Very clean and comfortable. Peter who runs the place amazing . Lots of helpful information and willing to assist with everything you may need. A delightful pool to coolndow. All in all a fantadtic 2 days. Thank you
