Apart from our self-catering accommodation, and camping sites with braai area's visitors can also enjoy on request a farm breakfast occasionally. The Calvinia district forms part of the Great Karoo and is 400km Northwest of Cape Town on the Namibia route. This region is best known for the array of brightly coloured spring wildflowers which come into bloom during August and September, otherwise known as the Namaqualand daisy season. The town of Calvinia has many attractions which include The Calvinia Museum, the historical building called The Boekhuis "Book House", The Akkerendam Nature Reserve as well as the famous Hantam Meat Festival which takes place in August each year.
This leafy campsite can accommodate up to 20 guests. There are two ablution facilities available as well as an outside sink. There are also electricity points for added convenience. Guests can enjoy a delicious braai while appreciating lovely views of the surrounding area.
Guests can spend their days exploring the property, or visiting the Oologskloofrivier. Guests could also go into the town of Calvinia itself and discover the shops and restaurants on offer. The farm also has a restaurant and tea garden serving delicious meals and offering true Karoo hospitality.
