Kipepeo Beach Village is situated just behind Kipepeo Beach and is an ideal place to relax and enjoy nature. Its close proximity to town makes it the perfect place to recharge after a tough day in the hot and humid city nearby. In the evening, when the wind drops to a gentle breeze and the sun starts to set behind the Kipepeo Village, the view is simply stunning.
After a day of punishing glare from the scorching African sun, the evening sun seems to diffuse the light, bathing the surrounding bush in a cool relaxing tone. Visible over the top of the dense African bush, the beach takes on a cool bluish tone, the sea beyond a lustre which completes the tranquil dream-like trance which captivates you.
Kipepeo Beach Village offers accommodation in luxurious beach huts, or bandas, which were built in the dense indigenous bush and elevated in order to ensure a stunning view of the sea and take advantage of the cool ocean breezes. Each banda has its own private bathroom with hot and cold running water and electricity.
The design for the bandas was inspired by mud huts built in the villages nearby, giving them a uniquely African feel. Once the designs were drawn up, a prototype was built by local craftsmen entirely out of material found in the area. Great care was taken to ensure that most of the natural bush was preserved, creating a feeling of secluded and remote sanctuary.
The balcony acts as an ideal hideaway to watch the many different bird species found in the surrounding bush, and regular visitors include kingfishers and fish eagles. A resident family of about 12 mongoose also live in the surrounding bush and they can occasionally be spotted running around and playing in the dense bush.
A quick dip in the ocean followed by a cool shower in your bungalow, then relax in the hammock on the balcony with an ice-cold drink and you will quickly forget the city only 9 km away.
