Linen and towels are provided.The cottage has an open-plan living and dining area with a fully equipped kitchen featuring a dishwasher, a washing machine and a tumble-dryer. There is underfloor heating throughout the house and a cosy fireplace in the lounge, which will keep you warm in winter. Air-conditioning and ceiling fans in all rooms will keep the heat out during summer. The living room is equipped with a TV with DStv, a sound system and a DVD player. The office has Wi-Fi access and a printer and caters for those that need to attend to business matters. Guests need to bring their own laptops.Outside guests can enjoy the stunning sunsets on the long stoep and an outside braai will keep the many happy. Set in the garden is a five-seater Jacuzzi where guests can soak away the stress while watching the mountain slopes turn pink as the sun sets.The bird lover will be kept busy as the surrounding garden is mostly indigenous fynbos and attracts a large number of birds. Bass fishing can be done in the upper dam, guests need to bring their own rods, or take the kayak for a spin. Hiking on the farm is safe and for the more adventurous, the Witels hiking trail starts on the farm. Access to the UCT Mountain and ski club runs over the farm and if you are fit enough for the hike up the mountain, bring your snow board along but please note that pre-arranged permits from UCT are required. Silkbush is also the home of the annual BreĆ«rivier Mountain Bike Challenge and mountain bikers can bring their bikes and enjoy riding parts of this trail.The Roosā believe anyone enjoying a stay with them will feel like they own Silkbush Mountain Vineyard, even if it is only for a few days. Most days, the sunrises are spectacular, the birds are your alarm clock, and the sunsets will take your breath away.
