Important Information

Departure times: Departure 10h00

If not departed by 12h00 a full extra day will be charged.

Check out time (mentioned) please inform the reception if you wish to retain your room beyond this time. Extension will be given depending on the availability. If the room is available, normal tariff will be charged.

On failure of the guest to vacate the room on expiry or period the management shall have the right to remove the guest and his/her belongings from the room occupied by the Guest.

Visitors: Resident guests may receive non-resident visitors until 22h00 with prior arrangements being made.

No loud music or partying allowed.

Visitors to sign indemnity when entering premises.

Visitors of guests are not allowed to spend the night without prior consent from the guest house management.

An additional payment needs to be made for sleep-over visitors


Water and Electricity usage: Please switch off fans, heaters, TVS and lights when not in use or when you leave your room.



Noise: Please be considerate to neighbours and fellow guests.

Keep the volume of voices and TVS as low as possible.

Self-catering: Self-catering guests can use the guest house self-catering kitchen which has cutlery etc.

Self-catering guests are responsible for doing their own dishes or alternatively paying a service fee of R60-00 per day to have housekeeping do their dishes.

No eating in rooms is allowed.


Towels: Please do not leave damp towels on the beds or anywhere else. Put them in the laundry baskets and housekeeping will replace them for you every day.

Laundry: Please enquire about our laundry service. Please don't hang wet laundry over chairs or other furniture.

Housekeeping service: Rooms will be cleaned every day.

Report any problems e.g. fused light bulbs or faulty appliances immediately.

If you have any problems, please let us know and we will do our very best to get them sorted out.

Indemnity: Guests use all the facilities of this establishment entirely at their own risk.
Kalahari Guest House will not be held responsible for any loss, damage or injury suffered on these premises for any reason whatsoever.

Smoking policy: According to the smoking law guests are not allowed to smoke in their rooms, or anywhere inside the building. This includes the balconies as well as the stoeps and verandas outside the rooms.

Smoking is only permitted in designated areas outside the main building.


No Pets allowed.

Damage to Property:The guest will be held responsible for any loss or damage to the hotel property caused by themselves, their guests or any person for whom they are responsible.

Management's Rights : It is agreed that the guest will conduct him/herself in a respectable manner and will not cause any nuisance or annoyance within the guest house premise.

The Management has the right to request any guest to vacate his/her room or other areas of the hotel forthwith, without previous notice and without assigning any reason whatsoever, and the guest shall be bound to vacate when requested to do so. In case of default, the Management has the right to remove the Guest's luggage and belongings from the room occupied by him/her.
