Kaingu Safari Lodge is situated in an area of pristine wilderness offering a magnificent game and safari experience in the heart of the African bush. The river ensures that there is something for everyone to do. Fishing, bird watching, exploring the channels and islands and game watching are always special on this unique stretch of river. Game drives in the National Park (10 minutes by boat) are done in highly specified and comfortable vehicles. Our guiding team set very high standards and all are professional guides with Kafue specific qualifications. We have one of only two qualified canoe guides in the whole Kafue.
The main camp of Kaingu Safari Lodge comprises six luxuriously appointed luxury safari tents as well as one 4-bed family house, all set under huge riverine trees on the river bank. All tents are set under thatch and placed on raised rosewood platforms overlooking the river. Each unit has an en-suite bathroom and an additional unique outdoor shower. with hot and cold running water and 12 Volt solar lighting. All units are carefully positioned to assure privacy, safety and integration with the surrounding vegetation. The focal point of the Lodge is the open-air central area set under thatch. It serves as dining room and bar/lounge facilities and it has a large deck overlooking the river. The daily rates include full board, all local soft drinks and beer, wine and laundry service, as well as activities.
