Indigo Moon Guesthouse is situated next to the Lichtenburg Eeufees Lake - just follow the popular tree lane down the gravel road to find the white house at the lake. We offer 11 x Standard Luxury Rooms, 2 x Budget Rooms, 1 x Family Room, 1 x Deluxe Lake Suite and 1 x Deluxe King Suite. All rooms have en-suite bathrooms, Dstv, Wi-Fi, tea/coffee facilities and a small bar fridge. Most of the rooms have microwaves & air conditioning.Situated among the towns of Coligny and Mafikeng on the R503, Lichtenburg is mainly a farming town about 200 km west of the major metropolis of Johannesburg. The beautiful little town of Lichtenburg, whose streets are covered with willow trees, began in 1873 but it was the diamond rush that identified Lichtenburg on the map as well as bringing thousands of prospectors to this part of the world in 1920s.The world’s biggest red diamond was found in 1927, well-known as pigeon blood red, it included further weight to the influx of diamond miners to Lichtenburg. This is an incredibly few stone and the claim is that fewer than 20 naturally occurring red diamonds exist today. One can just imagine the price tag attached to each of these.
