As a result of the warm water flowing into it ,there is a healthy water bird population and a variety of small game roaming the banks. Swaziland is a pleasant three hour drive from Johannesburg in South Africa and Maguga Dam is just 35 minutes from either Jeppies Reef or Oshoek Border Posts, off the Piggs Peak road. We have strategically placed eight mooring points in the dam, chosen specifically for their good fishing and birding opportunities as well as their privacy. Our houseboats can sleep up to four people and are superbly equipped for a self-catering getaway, with everything you would need to prepare and enjoy your own food on board, as well as linen. There is a barbeque grill on the deck.
