About House at Glengariff

The House at Glengariff exudes rustic charm and elegance and stands in open farmland with spectacular views. It is situated on a working cattle, sheep, and maize farm in the Southern Drakensberg area.

The house is an ideal retreat for those families, groups, or friends looking for the perfect peaceful getaway and looking to relax and unwind in natural surroundings whilst waking up to the sound of country living.

The house consists of both a spacious living and dining area with fireplaces for those cold and wintery days or evenings. The lounge opens onto a large verandah where guests can enjoy a scrumptious breakfast and take in the views. DStv is available. The kitchen is well equipped and the open plan makes it easy to be sociable whilst cooking.
The house offers accommodation in five bedrooms, of which one is en-suite. Each room includes a king-size bed or twin beds, heated blankets, hairdryers, and guest amenities. There is a separate shower/toilet bathroom, a separate toilet, and another bathroom with bath and toilet facilities

You are surrounded by beautifully landscaped gardens and can discover a range of flora, fauna, and farm animals. The house offers security, and parking space, and is fenced so it is safe for children to play and your dogs
A bird watchers paradise, enjoy the cry of the fish eagle and view the variety of wild birds and waterfowl. The views are breathtaking! Privacy, relaxation, and tranquillity are assured.

Wedding Venues: We have in the past had a wedding for 50 guests. 10 of the guests stayed at the House but the garden was beautifully done. Garden and House lends itself for a small weddings with special family and friends.

Family friendly: Ideal breakaway for family and friend gatherings including children and ones furry 4 legged family. Space, security, children crockery /cutlery, safety measures in place - everything you want and more in this Home.

Romantic: Beautiful setting to enjoy each other, sitting on the cosy and comfortable verandah with views to die for and the tranquility making it the perfect setting. romantic walking around the farm, no one in site, take picnic .

Important Information

* Cardholder, ID/Passport is required at check-in.
* The credit card used for the online deposit must be present at check-in.* A 50% Deposit needs to be paid to confirm the booking, the balance needs to be paid on arrival.
* check in is strictly between 230 pm and 6pm. latest check-in is 8pm . Should you be arriving after 8pm you will not be allowed into the property. Please understand this is a working farm and gates get locked.
* During Easter and December Holidays the full rate applies when booking at House at Glengariff i.e. if you are 1 guest - 10 guests you will pay the full rate per night.
* No smoking inside.
* Kindly note that during summer months, the roads can get very muddy due to the rains experienced. A 4x4 vehicle is more suitable to reach the home.
* For those guests that prefer to fly in, an airstrip is located on the farm – arrange for more details before your arrival.
