About Hampton House

The popular and well-appointed Hampton House, who recently won the Guest House section of the 20 Years of Accommodation Awards 2014, was originally built in 1953 and is an oasis of peace in the midst of the hustle and bustle of the city.

Guests stay in one of five spacious rooms, each featuring a bathroom with shower, hand basin and toilet, as well as an additional outside entrance to ensure privacy. The comfortable lounge, furnished with a luxurious leather couch and Cape Dutch stinkwood chairs, invites you to relax with a good book, or a chat to old and new friends.

The homely family kitchen reflects a friendliness with its large table and chairs, where breakfast can be served if desired. Through the kitchen door, access is gained to the delightful courtyard. Table and seats surrounded by potted plants, fountains and statues create an atmosphere conducive to informal entertainment and functions, while the braai situated under a spreading Jacaranda tree is also available for the use of guests.

                      Staff are friendly, location is great! Owner/staff was excellent in keeping our Labrador company, personal experience, friendly and warm, much appreciated, thank you! Will defiantly recommend! Only limitations - parking could be restricted if all bays are used with larger vehicles, wifi on the slow side.

                      It is a beautiful guest house and the staff were friendly and helpful. We had to stay over with our pet and they were so helpful in accommodating us. The room was divine and had everything we needed. Breakfast was great. Would give you more stars if I could.
