About Hakuna Matata

Hakuna Matata is set in the beautiful Wilderness, Garden Route Area. It is 20 minutes away from George and 40 minutes from Knysna.

There are two self-catering studio apartments available to guests. Both have private entrances, en-suite bathrooms, and kitchenettes. Guests are welcome to use the communal patio and braai area. Wonderful views of the sea and mountain can be enjoyed from here.

Wilderness is the ideal place to unwind and guests can spend their days swimming, hiking, and canoeing.

Safari: The bush units has a special safari-feel to it, situated in the bush, close to nature, perfect for bird viewing.

Beach: Although Hakuna Matata units and cottages are secluded up in Wilderness Heights, it is still about 1.8 km from Wilderness Beach, beautiful 3 km long beach

Family friendly: The establishment is very safe, and children may roam around freely and play in the gardens/ bush.

Romantic: Corner Farm and the bush cottages have a special romantic feel to it, secluded, with wonderful views, yet close to aal amenities that Wilderness and George offer.

★★★★★ We loved the scenic drive up to the establishment. Monica, the owner, was exceptionally friendly and very accommodating. The unit itself was very neat and well furnished. The view of the ocean from the room was a welcomed gift. All in all, a great experience.

Most enjoyable was the early morning visit to our bunglo from the three horses and waking up to the chirps and singing of bird all around us.
