Groenvlei Guest Farm is a beautiful, peaceful, family run grape farm that offers a guest house, self-catering units and function venue for all events. The farm is located between the Bottelary Hills in the Stellenbosch Winelands, 17 km outside Stellenbosch. The Farm offers an ideal getaway for the traveller whilst experiencing true country hospitality. Groenvlei Guest Farm is convenient for business trips too. This is a beautiful wedding venue that can cater for up to 160 guests. The venue is nestled between the vineyards and offers a stunning view of Table Mountain.
Conference facilities are available for up to 150 delegates.
Enhanced cleaning are implemented in guest rooms with special attention paid to high contact areas. Guests will be greeted at the door and their hands will be sanitized. All staff and guests to wear masks.

Important Information
TERMS AND CONDITIONS FOR ACCOMMODATION
In these terms and conditions for the booking of accommodation at Groenvlei Guest Farm, any reference to "Groenvlei" shall mean Groenvlei Guest Farm (Pty) Ltd, Registration Number: 2012/086156/07 and any reference to "Guest" shall mean the Primary Guest and/or the Person/Entity/Company whose particulars appear under the heading “Responsible Guest” when the booking is made. These terms override and supersede all other negotiations and representations previously made between the parties and constitute the entire contract between Groenvlei and the Guest and the persons occupying the rooms and premises through the booking(s) made by the Guest and no representation by any person, or variation or consensual cancellations of or amendments to any of the terms and conditions hereof shall be valid or binding on Groenvlei unless reduced to writing and signed by an authorised representative of Groenvlei.
PLEASE READ CAREFULLY. When making a booking, you acknowledge that you have read, understand and accept these terms and conditions. All quotations and bookings provided by Groenvlei are subject to these terms and conditions.
1. Bookings:
SAME DAY BOOKINGS AND CHECK-IN
To secure same day bookings the following is needed:
A. Credit Card payment - valid credit card details are needed to secure the booking. A 100% booking total will be deducted. If the credit card details are not valid, this will result in an automatic cancellation of the booking. It remains the responsibility of the Guest to make sure the credit card details are correct and valid.
B. EFT payments – A 100% booking total is payable in cash and to be reflected as funds received in the bank account of Groenvlei. Proof of payment must be sent to [email protected] before 16:00 on the day of arrival to secure the booking. Failure to send proof of payment will result in automatic cancellation of the booking.
C. Invalid credit card details/no proof of payment sent to [email protected] before 16:00 will automatically result in cancellation of this booking.
ALL OTHER BOOKINGS
To secure a booking, other than same day bookings and check-ins, the following is needed.
A. Credit card payment - valid credit card details is needed to secure the booking, 50% of the booking total will be deducted;
B. EFT payments – a 50% deposit is payable within 48 hours of receiving confirmation of booking and sending proof of payment to [email protected] will secure the booking;
C. Invalid credit card details or not paying the deposit within the given time, will automatically result in cancellation of this booking.
The total outstanding sum of the Guest’s stay at Groenvlei is payable on arrival. No visitors are allowed in the guest house or self-catering units.
Groenvlei reserves the right to cancel any booking forthwith and without liability on its part in the event of any damage to, or destruction of the venue or guest house of self-catering units by fire, industrial unrest, or any other cause beyond the control of Groenvlei, which shall prevent it from performing its obligations.
MAKE SURE YOU BOOK THE CORRECT ACCOMMODATION AND FOR THE CORRECT DATES
Please double check our location, your booking dates and the room/unit booked before finalizing the booking. This stays the responsibility of the guest/booking agent and the cancellation policy also applies if the guest/booking agent made the wrong booking for whatever reason.
2. Check-in
• 14:00-17:00.
• Contact the office between 08:00 and 16:00 if you will be arriving after 17:00 to make arrangements for late check in. If the guest does not make any arrangements for late check-in before 17:00 on the day of check in, the office will still close at 17:00. No late check-in will be allowed without prior arrangement.
• Self-check in is available, please arrange with the office prior to arrival.
3. Check-out
• 08:00-10:00.
• If you are not checked out by 10:00, a late check- out fee will be charged and is payable on departure.
• Arrange with the office for an early check out.
4. Cancellation policy:
- 0-7 days before arrival forfeit 100% of booking total value
- 8-14 days before arrival forfeit 50% of booking total value
- 15-21 days before arrival forfeit 25% of booking total value
- 22-any amount of days before arrival no cancellation fee

5. Room choice:
Every effort is made to accommodate the Guest(s) in the room of their choice, but room placement is at the discretion of Groenvlei.
6. Lost keys:
If you cannot hand in your key to reception during check out due to lost/misplaced/any reason, you will be responsible for the replacement cost of the keys. The replacement cost for 1 set of keys is R400.00 and is immediately payable by the guest on departure.
7. Risk/Loss/Damage:
Please ensure that the door of your room is locked when you are not in the room. Groenvlei and its staff do not accept liability in respect of any loss or damage to articles brought onto the premises. We do not accept responsibility for your cars while parked on our premises. It is the sole responsibility of all guests to make arrangements for adequate insurance coverage on all valuable items prior to arrival. This includes but is not limited to, photographic equipment, laptops or other electronic devices, jewellery, cash and vehicles.
In this regard, I, the Primary Guest, hereby waive any and all claims that I have or may have against Groenvlei and/or its directors, employees and/or contractors and to Release and Indemnify and hold Groenvlei and its directors, employees, contractors and agents harmless from any and all liability for any loss, damage, injury, death or expense that I and/or my next of kin or any of the other Guest(s) booked under my name as Primary Guest may suffer as a result of any cause whatsoever, even if such claims, damages, expenses, causes of action or liability result partially or wholly from any negligent act or acts or omission to act by Groenvlei or its management, directors, employees, officials and/or agents.
Children are the responsibility of the Primary Guest and/or their parents and/or caregivers. Supervision should be organized by the Guest and Groenvlei cannot accept any responsibility in this regard.
8. Lost property:
Lost property is held for a period of 1 month; thereafter it will be donated to charity. It is the responsibility of the Primary Guest to contact Groenvlei’s management to claim lost property. On request, lost property will be returned at the expense of the Guest.
9. Arrival and Departure:
On arrival please make sure that everything is in working condition in your room/unit. If not, please inform reception immediately. On departure the room/unit will be checked to make sure that everything is still in the room and in working condition. If any item is missing or broken, the Primary Guest will be responsible for the replacement cost of all lost or broken items. This amount is payable immediately on departure by the Primary Guest.
10. Groenvlei reserves the right to amend its rates at any time without prior notice.
11. Please note that all rooms are non-smoking.
12. Groenvlei is not a Pet Friendly establishment (No Pets Allowed).
