About Gonubie Hotel
Located on the beachfront, the Gonubie Hotel is a family-run hotel boasting two restaurants and four bars with beautiful views over the Gonubie bay. Our guests have a choice between bed and breakfast and self-catering accommodation. The Galleon restaurant provides both guests and locals with a mouthwatering à la carte cuisine and our other services include breakfast, lunch and dinners at The Deck restaurant.
The Gonubie Hotel is perfectly situated for weddings and it has three fully equipped conference facilities to suit our clients’ needs. It is a stone’s throw away from a beach including safe lagoons, tidal pools and the Gonubie River. Our guests enjoy a relaxing stroll across one of South Africans longest boardwalks to the main Gonubie Beach. Our flagship restaurant provides guests with views of the bay where they can watch dolphins play and immerse themselves in the beauty and wildlife of the Eastern Cape coastline.
There are many activities that keep our guests entertained during their stay with us and these include sailing, surfing, windsurfing, rock, river and boat fishing, diving, bowls, tennis, squash and golf at the local Gonubie Golf Course. Horse riding can also be arranged and there is a bird sanctuary close to the hotel for the avid birdwatchers.
