About Genet House Holiday Home

Genet House is a holiday home where families do spend quality time together with swimming in the pool, cooking in the kitchen, enjoying a braai, playing the pool table, watching live sports on the large TV, or taking turns to feed the wildlife.

Take a walk or cycle around Marloth Park, or drive Marloth Parks river road, stopping off at each of the viewing points.

On other days, enjoy everything Kruger National Park has to offer with your own self-drive safaris, open vehicle safaris, night drive safaris.

The house comprises 4 air-conditioned bedrooms and 2 safari tent bedrooms which can all accommodate 12 adults and 4 children in total.

First floor: The King bedroom contains a king-size four poster bed and a child-only couch. A cot for an infant is available on request. The mezzanine bedroom next to the King bedroom comprises 2 single-size four poster beds.

Ground floor: The Queen bedroom contains a queen-size bed and a Double bedroom having a double-size bed.

Outside: The 2 safari tent bedrooms have 2 single-size beds each accommodating adults and or teenagers.

Additionally, there are 3 couches available in the air-conditioned lounge area to sleep three children.

Each bedroom is tastefully decorated and has an en-suite bathroom with showers, except the Mezzanine bedroom, which has a basin and toilet only.

All the beds have mosquito nets, and the safari tents are mosquito proofed.

The kitchen is equipped for self-catering with a fridge, freezer, gas oven, gas stove, air fryer, microwave, and ice machine. The kitchen is also equipped with a dishwasher, washing machine and tumble dryer.

The front sliding glass and screen doors open the whole main area of the house ensuring a flow through to the outdoor entertainment area, the stoep.

The perimeter fences have been removed allowing for the wildlife to roam more freely around Genet House Holiday Home ensuring a closer experience.

Marloth Park has three bush shopping centres suitable for self-catering, however there are larger grocery stores in the towns of Malelane and Komatipoort. There are several restaurants in Marloth Park.

We advise CD Tours (www.cd-tours.co.za), who will pick you up from Genet House Holiday Home, for open vehicle safari drives into Kruger Park.
Plus Tswale Elephant Interactions (www.tswale.co.za) their morning elephant interaction is highly recommended.

Pet Policy:
This property is situated in a wildlife reserve and does not accept travellers with pets.
Car Parking:
There are four parking spaces. CCTV is active, however please make sure your car and trailer are locked up at night & any valuables are out of sight or better still valuables are brought into Genet House.
Night Life policy:
Genet House Holiday Home is NOT to be booked as a party venue! A fine of R3,500.00 will be applied at check-out should you be reported for making noise!
Wildlife Disclaimer:
Genet House Holiday Home is situated in a wildlife reserve and cannot be held responsible for any injury by the wildlife that visit each day. Although some animals "appear tame" please remember that all wildlife is exactly that. They are WILD. Treat the animals with respect, lower your voice and keep your movements slow as doing so ensures a better experience.
Baboons & Monkeys:
Please keep windows always closed. Baboons are not afraid to enter through a window when you are not around! Even if a window is slightly ajar, they will force it open. Should they pass by while you are outside enjoying yourselves, just grab the catapult provided and in doing so they will move on.
Loss/Fire/Theft/Injury Disclaimer:
Your booking indemnifies Genet House Holiday Home (and its staff) of any loss, damage or injury to any person or property brought into Genet House Holiday Home, whether arising from, theft or by any other cause whatsoever caused or arising from the negligence (gross or otherwise).
By booking, you also hold Genet House Holiday Home harmless against any claim howsoever caused and howsoever arising.
Smoking Policy:
Please NO smoking inside Genet House Holiday Home. Smoking is allowed outside within the stoep & the garden. Sand buckets for the butts have been provided so the butts are not flicked into the surrounding bush.
Speed:
The Marloth Park Conservancy has a speed limit of 50 Kilometres per hour. Please keep a look out for animals big or small crossing the roads. Thanks.
Lastly:
A cleaning service is included (7am-12pm) except on public holidays.
CD Tours based in Malelane are affiliated with Genet House Holiday Home and provide exciting open vehicle tours into Kruger National Park.
