The luxury Family Bedroom has a full en-suite bathroom, an extra-large double bed and a twin bunk bed, while the three dormitory rooms sleep only four guests each. Gansbaai forms part of the Whale Coast with the Walker Bay Whale Sanctuary providing a nursery to southern right, bryde and humpback whales which are easily observed from the shore or on a boat-based whale watching tour. Dyer Island is a breeding colony for African penguins and Cape fur seals. The narrow channel between Geyser Rock and Dyer Island is home to around 60,000 seals and is a feeding ground of the endangered great white shark.
