Galago Private Bush Lodge is set on 17 hectares of pure bushveld and is located just 16 km from Bela Bela on the R516, Thabazimbi road, only an hour from Pretoria and one and a half hours from Johannesburg. The only ‘bush’ traffic you will have here are our birds and small game and the only lights you will see are stunning sunsets, camp fires and magnificent star-lit nights.

The lodge consists of four comfortable en-suite suite cottages, two of which are two-bed cottages, one of which is a four-bed cottage and one that is a eight-bed cottage. Each cottage has its own bathroom with a flush toilet, hand basin and shower with hot and cold water. Linen and towels are also provided.

All of the cottages are self-catered with full kitchen utensils and equipped with fridge, 4 plate gas stove, tea and coffee stations, free-standing portable braais.

The communal Lapa includes a dining table and chairs and braai facilities. There is a solar heated swimming pool and paths through the bush to see the resident duikers and impala and nyala, abundant bird life, and game on the adjoining farms. A tuck shop is available for daily needs as well as Internet.

We are proud of our four spacious camping sites which offers private ablution facilities. Six newly constructed camping sites with their ablution facility is also available. These sites are paved with gravel and is equipped with a 15A power outlet as well as a braai stand. The camping site has its own swimming pool and Lapa. The Lapa is also available for guests who wants to host their private function.

There are many activities nearby if you want to do more than just linger and completely relax in our lodge; you can visit the elephant and cheetah sanctuaries which are only 10 km from the lodge. Game viewing is available on request. There is also a golf driving range nearby and of course, the hot springs in the area.
