Welcome to Gala-Gala Eco Resort. The word Gala-Gala means Gecko in the local dialect. The bush surroundings we enjoy are teaming with geckos and many varieties of birds, butterflies and other indigenous and interesting small wildlife.

Gala-Gala Eco Resort offers a quiet space for those who want to be away from the busy town, but also many activities for people who are looking for an active and social holiday. The barefoot luxury of Gala-Gala makes this a unique holiday experience difficult to match according to our many loyal returning visitors. It is an intimate, owner managed operation, ensuring personal attention and service. The resort offers different choices of accommodation from exclusive private deluxe en-suite cabanas, to standard cabanas with social communal facilities to private camp sites with their own bathrooms.

Just over 1km from the markets of Ponta d Ouro you are treated to easy access to the vibe of the village but then you can retreat to the quiet of our resort to relax and unwind. We offer the flexibility of self-catering for those who prefer to do their own thing or tasty breakfasts are available at our Blue Zebra café each morning.

The beautiful beach’s around Ponta do Ouro are perfect for every type of beach and water activity, We can assist with helping arrange all your diving needs through Blowing Bubbles Dive Centre plus we offer several other options including swimming with the dolphins, coastal snorkeling excursion, sea safaris, kayaking, surf lessons, deep-sea fishing, quad bike trips and we have an extensive birding list of the area.

Beach: Gala-Gala Eco Resort has direct access to a beautiful unspoilt beach only 500 metres away a few minutes walk will bring you to a quiet stretch of breathtaking coastline.

Spa: Gala-Gala has a beautiful on-site spa which offers a variety of massage packaged as well as manicure and pedicure services.

Wedding Venues: At the quiet beach, 500 metres from Gala-Gala is a restaurant over looking the ocean that is a remarkable wedding venue. Perfect for your destination wedding, venue and accommodation packages can be arranged to suit your needs.

Family friendly: Gala-Gala has a lovely garden boma area with a safe, shallow pool and bar which is great for gathering together, there are barbecue facilities and a fire pit.

Full payment must be made prior to arrival. All additional expenses incurred during your stay must be settled before your departure.

We reserve the right of admission.

We try to keep the area eco-friendly with low noise levels. Quad bikes must be parked at the main entrance. No music is allowed.

If you are camping we do not supply any kitchen/fridge/freezer facilities. Please bring all your own camping equipment. The accommodation facilities are NOT open to clients staying on camp sites; this includes the bathrooms, kitchen, braai area and pool. Please respect the privacy of other guests. Please use water and electricity sparingly. Once you have paid your deposit it is agreed that you have read, understood and accepted these conditions.

The resort exceeded our expectations! Nicola was a great hostess and made sure we were comfortable at all times. She helped to arrange activities and gave us lots of ideas of what to do.
