About Fugitives' Drift Guest House

Fugitives' Drift is famous throughout the English-speaking world for the great battles of Isandlwana and Rorke’s Drift, during the Zulu War of 1879. It was here that David and Nicky Rattray pioneered Heritage Tourism in South Africa and created an award-winning lodge for visitors to savor this extraordinary saga. The reserve offers a choice of accommodation in either the Lodge or the Guest House, both owned by the Rattrays and both born out of their extensive experience in the hospitality industry. Evident in every corner of Fugitives’ Drift is the Rattrays’ love of South Africa,

Conference Venues: The Harford Library is a superb venue for a conference, board meeting or think tank. Wireless internet, projector, screen etc

We will never forget our fabulous trip to Fugitives Drift. The lodge was luxurious, making us feel like king and queen. The game park teeming with giraffes and buck. The tours brought me to tears, they were told with such passion. A definate must for anybody who appreciates nature and history.
