Dwarskersbos is a fishing village and vacation resort on the West Coast, 12 km from Velddrif. Thanks to the breathtaking beaches, Dwarskersbos is a hotspot for water sports of all kinds. Whale watching can be enjoyed during the season, between July and December.
Dwarskersbos and its surrounding areas are also stunning spots for keen bird watchers. There are more than 180 species in the Rocherpan Nature Reserve alone, which is only 10 km from the centre of this town.
