Welcome to A whale of a time Self-catering accommodation in Fish Hoek, Cape Town - South Africa. A Whale of a time is an owner managed self catering accommodation establishment in picturesque Fish Hoek, with breathtaking 180 degree, panoramic views of False Bay, established in 1996.

We offer guests a variety of accommodation in Fish Hoek with our luxurious and tastefully decorated self-contained apartments, each with spectacular sea views. The following is available - a Stone Cottage, Penthouse, Garden Apartment and single bedroom Apartments.

These accommodate from two to six guests and have fully-equipped kitchenettes, bathrooms en-suite, TV, M-Net and satellite connection. The delightful salt-water residents’ pool is surrounded by wooden decking where guests recline on sun lounges and bask in the sunshine, enjoying the exquisite view of the bay.

Perfectly positioned to view and listen to the whales that visit every year, we are a 5 minute stroll away from the tranquil and family friendly Fish Hoek beach with its soft, powdery white beach sand and warm water. Fish Hoek beach is one of the most beautiful swimming beaches in South Africa.

Enjoy an un-obstructed view of the whales during whale season while relaxing in our luxurious 'home away from home' environment. You will be able to listen to the soothing sounds of the whales from the balcony.

Beach: We are a 7 minute stroll down to one of the best swimming beaches in South Africa. Fish Hoek beach is a family friendly beach with white powdery sand. Our establishment boasts magnificent panoramic views over False bay, perfect for whale watching.

Golf: Gold 5 x minutes away to the famous Clovelly Golf Course.

Family friendly: Our apartments all have kitchenettes. Fish Hoek beach 7 minutes walk away is the best beach in the Cape for children. We are in a short driving distance to Penguins, Cape Point, the famous scratch patch and the Camel rides.

Romantic: Lying in bed overlooking the Ocean right in front. Spectacular Sun Rises over the mountains and across the sea. Sit on the balcony sipping wine in the evening and if a full moon the whole sea in front lit up.
