All the linen is provided and each room is equipped with a TV, a fridge and air-conditioning. A sumptuous breakfast is served in the elegant dining room. Fiddlers Rest is a 1950s mansion built by Hilton Rich who was the owner of Beechway Motors. It was then bought by Raoul Goldman who was Mayor of Durban at that time. The present owners, popular Irish musician Tony and his wife Lilian, took over in 1986. The property overlooks Durban’s famous Mitchell Park and is adjacent to “Kings House” which is the President's home when he is here.
