Evergreen River Guest Farm is a privately owned farm on the banks of the Groot Marico River, 9 km outside the small village of Groot Marico, along a 7km farm dirt road stretch. We are situated in the UNESCO approved Marico Biosphere Reserve just 2,5 hrs drive from Gauteng on the N4 Platinum Highway in the NW Province. Accommodation comprises of an offroad caravan/tent camp site (can accomodate 30 guests) and 3 self-catering cottages suited to accommodate up to 16 guests. The cottages on offer include Le Butterfly (sleeps 6), Star Gazer (sleeps 6), and Rain Lily (sleeps 4). All units are spacious and comfortable and fully equipped - even with a potjie pot, gas skottel braai and gas stove with oven.

Karee River Camp offers offroad/rooftop caravan and tenting stays within 40m of the Groot Marico River (bass, barbel, yellow fish) that flows through the farm. The camp is large and spacious, and set in a beautiful nature spot that offers peace and tranquillity. It is mountain facing with stunning sunrise and sunset views. Hot water is generated by a gas geyser. There is no electricity at the camp, but there is an electrical point 200m away to charge any appliances/equipment and there is a fridge/freezer that guests can use at this point. There are 2 “camp base buildings” that are under cover and these buildings offer a kitchen area with a double zinc, a table and chairs, shelves to unpack all your goodies, a gas 2 plate burner, gas for hot water, solar lights. There is an undercover toilet, shower and braai area. Dogs are welcome by prior arrangement at a once-off cost of R200 for the duration stay, and this amount is payable to us directly. There is a once-off stand fee of R100 that is payable to us directly. The rates are 0-5 yrs no charge, 6 to 11 yrs R75 pppn and 12 years and up R150 pppn.

On-site facilities include a private natural rock splash pool at each cottage, indoor fireplace at each unit, braai areas, secure parking and pets by arrangement. Come and fish in our river, walk, cycle, star gaze, read, camp, have a picnic at our river or the Groot Marico Eye (30kms away and offers scuba diving and snorkelling/swimming), pick citrus when in season or just enjoy our unspoilt nature and peace and tranquillity.
