We do day tours to Eswatini.
With Eswatini (Swaziland border) just a km down the road, why not have a day trip or spend a night there. It can take around 30minutes from the guest house to getting through the border. A R100 road fee is payable via a card.
*The border gate is open from 8am-6pm. A few suggestions are but plenty more to explore.
Swazi Candles Centre in Malkerns, the centre is not just about candles; it also hosts various other crafts outlets, a bustling market and a café, which serves some lovely food (The Daddy breakfast is huge). It’s a great place to explore local art, enjoy some delicious food, and pick up unique souvenirs.
Ngwenya Glass in Ngwenya. The shop boasts our vast range of tableware and African animals, from classical to quicky wineglasses, large centre pieces and one-off pieces made in our onsite glass blowing factory. Their glass crafted animal range covers the big five: Elephants, Leopards, Rhinos, Lions and Buffalo.
We can also take you to Sebebe Rock (arguably the world’s largest exposed granite dome exposed about three billion years ago), and nearby there are water sports, slides and zip-line.
Malandela’s Farmhouse Restaurant, Country Pub & Guest House is also a place you don’t want to miss out. It provides an authentic farm-house menu in a beautiful setting with a delightfully relaxing pub that offers draught beer with indoor and outdoor seating for one of the country’s finest sunset views.
The place also hosts as one of the country’s best selections of local craft, design, lifestyle, food and gift boutique shops, offering a wide range of shopping experiences.
It also hosts House on Fire and MTN Bushfire Festival, lauded as one of the most eclectic entertainment venues in the world which captivates and inspires visitors as they explore the enchanting spaces of the theatre and sculpture grounds.
