Ecolux Boutique Hotels started when Johan & Vonja Coetzee, the husband and wife team, designed and built their first boutique hotel in the small town of Komatipoort bordering the Kruger National Park and the Mozambique border.In 2017 an opportunity presented itself for Ecolux Boutique Hotel to be built across the border in Mozambique with the idea of creating a ‘Bush to beach’ experience for their guests. Our Luxury rooms a spacious overlooking either the garden or pool area, some have sea view, these rooms all have king-size beds or twin beds, big screen TV, double showers, double basins, separate toilets, all the amenities and much more. The property also boasts an outdoor spa, in door restaurant and bar.

There are markets on the way to Macaneta and some restaurants, and there is plenty to do in the area, including fishing, and snorkelling with whale sharks in Tofu Bay.
