We stayed at the property for 2 nights. The location and surroundings are worth the trip, the staff is very friendly and helpful. Unfortunately we had to ask for a lot of things, which were then done. One should offer coffee and some cake for the afternoon.

We were really looking forward to our stay there but due to a heavy big tree in the road to the lodge we did not get to the lodge. We had to go all the way back to Windhoek and booked in at the Protea Hotel just to get a place to stay and it was twice as expensive. I also paid a deposit and would like to know if I can get that back please.

We had such a lovely time at Duesternbrook. The staff is very friendly and helpful. And Johan Vaatz is a real warm host to all his guests.
