The House was built with sandstone in 1942 and over the years it was owned by the Local Doctors of Fouriesburg.The new owner Ansie Viljoen moved to Fouriesburg in April 2023. As of October 2023, she appointed Joey as manager. Spend a night in this beautifully crafted sandstone house and experience the high ceilings to enhance the old-world charm. For our guests, five en-suite rooms are available. Good quality beds with duvets as well as heaters and electric blankets ensure a comfortable night's rest. Each room is equipped with a Smart TV for Netflix, etc. Bedding, towels and ample cupboards in every room allow you to be comfortable during your stay.

A communal sitting room with a fireplace and a dining room are also available for the family to enjoy quality time together. Our communal kitchen is fully equipped with 2 fridges, a microwave, an air fryer, a stove with an oven and necessary utensils, kettle with coffee/tea, sugar and milk in the kitchen for guest’s convenience.
For the fitness fanatic, we have a gym to use in the house free of charge. We have an indoor swimming pool situated next to our fully licensed bar named “At Se Watergat” which has a big-screen TV for sporting events. Guests can spend some time with loved ones and friends in our 4–6-seater. Jacuzzi at an extra cost.

Breakfast can be provided at an additional cost by prior arrangement. On the premises, we have indoor and outdoor braai areas to use and guests can sit and relax in our enclosed garden space. Free secure parking is available on-site with security cameras to ensure your safety with 24-hour security response.
The guesthouse is serviced with borehole water and a generator for any electricity interruptions. We can host functions for up to 40 people in our fully licensed bar area. We also host kids' parties and small conferences. Free Wi-Fi access is available for our guests on the property.

You can choose from a variety of activities in the surrounding area, including hiking, bird watching, game viewing, horse riding, motor cross or guided historical tours. We are also accessible to 3 renowned golf courses at Bethlehem, Clarens and Ficksburg.
Fouriesburg is close to The Golden Gate Nature Reserve, with some of the country’s most epic roads for motorcycling. For snow seekers, Afriski Mountain Resort in Lesotho is only 90 km away. Lesotho also plays host to the world-renowned Roof of Africa Motorcross & Rally events.
