However please note that the open fireplace does not work well if it is very windy. There is also a wood burning stove in the living area.

The kitchen is small but well-equipped with a 4 plate gas stove and oven, a large fridge/freezer, a microwave, electric kettle & toaster.
There are fans in the rooms for summer. Each room has electric blankets on the beds with a heater in each room. In the living room there is a wood burning (only wood) stove and a blower heater. There is a TV in the living room and in the main bedroom with Full DSTV. You do not have to bring your own DSTV card. There is an outside braai on the "stoep" and there is also a shower on to rinse your feet after a walk on the beach.

There is a Pick&Pay, Checkers & Shoprite in Vredenburg which is 15km from Paternoster as well as a shopping mall on the Saldanha road.
There is an ATM at the Superette in Paternoster, but to be safe please ensure that you draw cash prior to arrival. Most restaurants but not all shops accept credit cards.
