This farm is set in a traditional Karoo environment with historical structures from the previous century dating back 150 years ago still visible in several locations. Several Khoi San Bushmen drawings can be found.Modderfontein farm is the highest point between Cape Town and Johannesburg, 1300 m above sea level. The Karoo is a semi-desert area, however Modderfontein farm has six natural springs on the farm and the water is of very good drinking quality. Our home is a place of true peace and tranquility. HOUSE RULES DESERT DEW GUESTHOUSE:
- Confirm your booking ONE WEEK prior to arrival by email or phone the guesthouse
- Time to pay your deposit will be 3 days – if not, booking is not confirmed– arrange with guesthouse for extension of deposit
- On paying your deposit – please send the proof of payment with name and date as reference and follow this up one day after payment with the guesthouse - IMPORTANT !
- Please put this on writing via email
- No bookings will be orally confirmed
-Dinner arrangements must be confirmed one day prior to arrival – please phone the guesthouse for arrangements – we are on a farm – no restaurant nearby – we are the only restaurant – restaurant close at 20h00 – special arrangements to be made if otherwise
-TIME OF ARRIVAL is 15h00 at the guesthouse – if earlier – please contact the guesthouse
-20h00 latest to check in at the guesthouse – special arrangements for late arrivals in writing to the guesthouse
-Accommodation does not include breakfast but we do have a big variety of breakfast options at an additional cost
