About Deruxa Cottages

Deruxa Cottages are situated on a 21-hectare farm that was acquired by the Moolman family as the ideal way to introduce their children to the outdoors. They subsequently moved there for a few years to enhance their quality of living and since then, the family has moved back to the city and the facilities have expanded.

The property is located a mere 40 km north of Pretoria, 45-minutes' drive from the eastern and northern Pretoria regions. The historical town of Cullinan provides many attractions and restaurants and is only 20 km east of the farm.

The farm has been game fenced, with a few species of game introduced. An open-air lapa, conference facilities and kitchen, bar and ablution facilities have been added to the property, as well as three free-standing cottages, while the old farmhouse was refurbished as a self-catering unit for family and weekend breaks. Deruxa Cottages offers a variety of rooms, ranging from self-catering in the old farmhouse to fully catered cottage accommodation.

The venue is ideal for families and friends to rekindle friendships, but can also be used by businesses to hold small conferences, managerial meetings and year-end functions.

Safari: The farm has been game fenced and electrified. The animals venture close to the units during the day and late afternoon to drink at the strategically placed watering holes around the units. 112 bird species has been identified on the farm.

Wedding Venues: Deruxa can accommodate 30 - 60 guests with accommodation for close family, and offers catering options, reception areas, outdoor ceremony areas. Marquees tent, decor and table settings not included, but can be arranged on request.

Conference Venues: Can accommodate 12 delegates. On site Facilities: Air conditioned conference room with table and chairs, Flip chart & white board with markers, flat screen (with laptop connection facility), Tea / coffee & bottled water, Cash bar.

Family friendly: The establishment has walk paths, a swimming pool and play area.
