About de Pakhuys

Nestled in the picturesque Agter-Pakhuis Valley, 26 km from Clanwilliam en route to the historic Wuperthal village, you will find de Pakhuys Guest Farm which belongs to the Kruger and Botha families. The Kruger family, originally from Cape Town, visited the area in 2003 and couldn't resist having a piece of this paradise to themselves. They subsequently bought a piece of land in this magnificent valley and decided to renovate cottages on the farm and share the splendour of the Cedarberg with visitors. The cottages and guests are cared for by partners and friends, Thys and Karin Kr

We stayed for 2 nights in Bokmakierie cabin and loved every moment of it. Secluded with beautiful views and the wood-fired hot tub was the highlight of our stay.

The place is over run by bouldering people, they have loud conversations at night in the communal areas.

I enjoyed my stay at De Pakhuys. There are plenty of hiking trails, places to swim and boulders to climb. And the night sky is magnificent! There were a lot of people, but spread out over a large area so it did not feel crowded.
