De Berg Guesthouse is situated in Matatiele, in the shadow of the Drakensberg. We were established in 2005 by the Pieterse family who still manage the place. Because our guests are important to us, we offer friendly service, clean and spacious rooms and delicious meals.Our town is also called "Sweet Matat" by the locals and it lies on the R56 which is the shortest and most scenic route between the KwaZulu-Natal Midlands and the Cape. There are three border posts into Lesotho which are between 40 and 60 km from Matatiele. The Mountain Lake Reserve forms part of Matatiele and is
