This varies from the Swazi, Shangaan, Zulu and Ndebele cultures. You can get a tour at our village and see pictures unfolding of how the people around Mpumalanga used to live in the past. De Village Lodge gives you the opportunity to have a glimpse and experience of the lives of people who were living around Mpumalanga. You will see the beauty of the rising sun on the Mpumalanga horizon. Hear the African beat during the sunset and listen to the old tales on a relaxing afternoon. Taste the real African food from our African cuisine. Enjoy the sounds and melodies of Africa as the villagers sing and dance in their various traditional attires. Our high class cultural huts have been built to make you feel like an African king or a queen in a very comfortable way. The main village, the Cultural Village has eight (8) cultural huts. All our huts have en-suite facilities and are well-furnished with beautiful cultural interiors. These huts are built exactly the way Nguni people used to live in a typical village.There is a special hut for the grandmother of the village (Liguma likagogo). This hut is the heart of the cultural village as it has all the information regarding the way people were living in the past. In addition to the eight (8) beehive rooms, we have four (4) Deluxe rooms. These are luxurious modern rooms which come complete with DSTV, aircondition, en-suite bathroom, bar fridge, tea & coffee tray etc
The house rules are detailed in the lodge manual found in the rooms, the receptionist will advise guests upon their arrival.
