The cottage is an open plan, step-free space with a queen size, extra length bed. Luxuriously comfortable with 100% cotton linen. For guests who stay longer than a week, the bed linen is changed on a weekly basis.

The well equipped kitchen has a two plate gas hob, microwave, cordless kettle , fridge and airfryer.

The lounge has a 43" TV with DSTV Premium, Netflix, Showmax and Amazon Prime. There are two comfortable wingback armchairs and a hanging chair for relaxing.

A vintage writing bureau is used as a dedicated work station. The WiFi router has its own UPS for its fibre connection, so it is always on during loadshedding.

All this under an open beamed ceiling and on a solid wood floor.

Your washing machine is in the separate laundry room.

Guests have access to secure parking. The cottage and its private garden, with the built-in braai (barbecue) and firepit, are protected by an electric fence and security gate for your peace of mind. The entrance is brightly lit at night.

We are well served by food/grocery delivery services like Uber Eats, Mr D, Checkers Sixty 60 and Pick n Pay ASAP.

Uber and Bolt are readily available for transport.

The MTN South Africa office is under 9 km away and the FNB/RMB Fairland Campus is about 1km away.

If you’re here for medical reasons, we’re within 10 km of hospitals like Flora Clinic, Wilgeheuwel Hospital, Johannesburg Eye Hospital and Johannesburg Surgical Hospital.

The N1 ramp is just 5 minutes away, and Lanseria Airport, which can connect you to the rest of South Africa, is a short 23 km drive.

Make our cottage your city base for exploring further afield to places like the Walter Sisulu Botanical Garden, the Cradle of Humankind and the Lion and Safari Park. The Wits University Campus hosts the Origins Centre, Wits Art Gallery and the Digital Dome (planetarium).
