The Borders region is one of the most beautiful areas of Scotland and yet rather undiscovered and therefore quiet. The narrow country roads will give many hours of pleasure driving through the countryside. The river Tweed is a central element meandering tThis small and luxurious country house hotel is privately owned and was completely refurbished in 2004. The hotel is fully wheelchair accessible and has a dedicated room for the physically challenged. There are 12 double rooms and 1 suite with a state of Standard rooms come in a variety of styles and shapes. Some have zip-and-link beds that can easily be turned into a proper twin room. Two of the standard rooms are turreted rooms. Some rooms have a king-size bed, and some have a superking. However, whatevWithin the grounds, archery can be organised as can mini highland games. Fishing can be arranged and also mountain biking and golf. There are some 55 marked walks in the seven forests along the river Tweed and picnic hampers can be delivered as long as thBreakfast is available to guests each morning. At lunchtime and in the evenings guests may select dishes from the set menu or choose from the à la carte options. Special dietary requirements may be catered for. Guests may book either a half-board or full From Edinburgh or Edinburgh Airport via the A720 (City of Edinburgh Bypass): Leave the bypass for the A702, direction Biggar.
