Important Information

Guest Rules and Guidelines for Staying in Clarens Property

1. Water Shortage:
All baths are out of use due to water shortages. Plugs will be removed until further notice

2. Pets:
No pets are allowed as per estate rules.

3. Parking:
Park in the driveway only. NO parking on roads, verges, or grass. The left side of the electric garage is available to use. Parking on the property is safe and secure, with 24-hour security. Fines will be issued for parking in the road.

4. Additional Guests:
The base rate includes 8 guests maximum, strictly no more than 8 adults, excluding infants. 4 children under 14 are allowed but you must arrange this with me prior to the time and it will cost R360 per child per day. This will be billed directly.
Each bedroom has a double sleeper couch; please inform in advance if these need to be made up

5. Smoking Policy:
Smoking is allowed only on the balcony and outdoor areas. Strictly no smoking indoors; penalties will apply.

6. Housekeeping Services:
The house is serviced daily by Thandi or Anna. Treat them with kindness and respect. Tipping is appreciated but not required.

7. Check-in and Late Check-out:
If arriving late in the evening, keys will be in a lockbox.
Do not check out late unless arranged in advance.

8. Child Safety:
Be mindful of safety concerning balconies, stairs, and pool areas. The swimming pool has a safety net, and areas can be closed off for safety. Always supervise children and never leave them unattended on estate grounds.

9. Fireplace Use:
Do not use the gas fireplace under the flat-screen TV. Use the wood fireplace, which will be stocked with wood in season. Always monitor the fireplace when in use.

10. Estate Access:
Access needs to be pre-arranged. Provide the following information: Driver details, copy of ID/passport, name/surname of the driver, car type, car color, and car registration number. A document with the estate rules will be sent that needs to be signed prior to entry.

11. Entertaining Guests:
You may entertain guests, but they must check in with security. Inform the host beforehand so access can be set up.

12. Noise Restrictions:
No loud music or parties. Be considerate of surrounding residents and estate rules.

13. Body Corporate Notes:
Do not park on roads, verges, or grass. Use the driveway and the left side of the automated garage.
Maintain speed limits of 30km/h within the estate.
Motorbike/Quad Restrictions:
Strictly no motorbikes or quads are allowed within the estate. No Drones may be used in the Estate.
Fines will be issued for non compliance.

14. Water Conservation:
Clarens is experiencing water shortages; please use water wisely.

15. Load Shedding Information:
Be aware that Clarens may experience load shedding according to the schedule. The villa has solar geysers, rechargeable battery lights, candles, and a gas stove/oven for use during load shedding.

16. Contact Information:
Ensure the correct contact number is provided on Airbnb for communication.

17. Important Reminder:
Fines will be issued for rule violations. If unsure about any rules, feel free to contact the host anytime for clarification.
