Other things to note:
1. Kindly obey the rules of Marloth Park. Since we are bordering Kruger National Park, we do get regular visits from predators. This means guests are not allowed to walk or cycle on the streets between 6pm and 6am.
2. There are plenty of park animals that come to visit the house. They look tame, but are still wild animals. For your own safety, please do not handfeed the animals.
3. Please be mindful of your neighbors. No loud noise, music or conversation is allowed after 18h00 on any day of the week or weekend. No boom-boxes or speakers are allowed on the property. Noise complaints can get you a R3500 fine. Upon receipt of a valid noise complaint, a warning will be given by either CPF, Security companies, Owner, or Caretaker. Upon receipt of a 2nd noise complaint, the property must be evacuated immediately. No refunds will be given.
4. One of the biggest challenges in the park is baboons. They can cause turmoil! Please do not encourage or feed the baboons. They are highly intelligent and before you know it, they will steal whatever they can, also in the house. They can be very dangerous, so please be aware.
5. For your own safety and a pleasant stay, please do not throw out food including fruit and vegetables for the animals or birds to feed on. Unfortunately, this will attract monkeys and baboons to the house. Only feed pellets, that is available from the Bush Centre, to the animals.
6. This is a wildlife conservancy; therefore, no rubbish can be placed outside. Kindly take all rubbish with you and place it at the rubbish dump at the entrances to Marloth Park, before you depart.
7. No extra guests, that is not part of the booking, will be allowed to sleep over, as we only cater for the exact number of guests booked.
8. Guests are expected to leave the home in the same clean and tidy state as found upon check-in. No food to be left when guests checkout.
9. Load shedding and power outage in the park maybe experienced during your stay. Call of the fish eagle do have a gas stove top and gas geysers as well as battery operated fans and lights available. All bedside lamps in the bedrooms as well as the standing lamps in the living room and the kitchen lights are fitted with rechargeable bulbs. If the power does go off, these lights will stay on, when switched on. All entrances to the house are fitted with a lockable clear guard mesh doors as well as a lockable sliding door. When there is load shedding, you are welcome to open the sliding door and keep the lockable mesh door locked, for security. This will allow for a lovely draft to make your stay as comfortable as possible during these times.
10. We make use of gas geysers at our property. Kindly inform us immediately if your water does not warm up as this might mean that either the batteries in the geysers are flat or the gas tank is empty. We do have both on standby and it can be changed immediately.
11. Kindly inform us if there is no water. Sometimes there is a burst pipe in Marloth Park that needs fixing. During these times the water will be turned off by the municipality to perform the necessary repairs. Loadshedding also has an influence on the pumping of water to the reservoirs and the filling of the pipes out of the reservoir to supply the residences in Marloth Park. We do have a water, in a JoJo tank, on standby and it can be switch on to ensure water in the house during these times.
12. If you require additional cleaning during your stay, this can be arranged in advance with the owner - 0828134070. The cost will be for your own account and the price will depend on whether you need cleaning only or cleaning and a linen change.
13. The fire must be extinguished before leaving the property or going inside the house day/night. During strong, windy weather conditions, no fires are allowed. Regrettably, no candles are allowed on the property, due to high fire risk.
14. Please ensure that all doors and windows are closed and the alarm system is armed, when leaving the property, even when going on a walk or quick drive. Monkeys and baboons break into the house very quickly through the smallest open window and door. They will cause damage to the house as well as your belongings and food.
