Important Information

1. The hot tub takes 1.5 hours to get warm and 1.5 bags of wood, please fill the tub before you light the fire
2. You can use tap water for cooking and the kettle
3. The water is light brown because it’s from the river
4. The water runs through filters, but it’s still brown
5. There is Reverse Osmosis drinking water in the fridge. You’re welcome to bring your own.
6. While filling the hot tubs, the rest of the cabin’s water will be on low-pressure
7. NO PETS ALLOWED
8. NO LOUD MUSIC
9. You can buy extra wood, R35 a bag.
10. If you need to smoke, do so outside and use the little ashtray
11. Don’t leave the doors and windows open when you go for a hike or kayaking, the monkeys will take advantage
12. Please call us when you reach our gate so we can make sure that no one is coming up the farm road .
13. It will take a little while for the gate to open, and please see that it closes behind you (will take a minute or more) OR use the farm gate by unhooking it and closing it behind you
14. The gravel driveway down is very steep and your vehicle should not have low road clearance - please drive slowly!!
15. If you have low road clearance and you need us to collect you at the top of the farm, please let me know in good time
16. When you leave in the morning, and the gate doesn’t open, use the “farm gate” .
17. Your cabin is open; the key is in the door (inside)
19. Using the hiking trails and kayaks is at OWN RISK - PLEASE BE CAREFUL - WE TAKE NO RESPONSIBILITY FOR INJURY OR DEATH
20. There are wild animals, eagles, snakes, insects, bees and the like on the property - they will leave you alone, but, please do not try to approach them - all wild animals are potentially dangerous
21. Please let us know the expected arrival time so we can ensure that no one is driving UP our driveway when you are coming down
