Located in a nature conservancy, our lodges are nestled in the bush and with no perimeter fencing the wildlife is free to roam amongst the properties giving you unique interactions with some of Africa’s best loved creatures. This is what makes this place so special. On your morning walk, it would be no surprise to walk past a herd of zebra or a tower of giraffe, or you could relax in the comfort of the lodge and let nature come to you. Marloth is home to a large variety of wildlife. Kudu, wildebeest, warthog, impala, bushbuck and much more . Expect visits by some of Marloth’s smaller creatures too, such as banded mongoose, lesser and greater bushbabies and vervet monkeys to name a few.

Crocs Nest Bush Lodge is a spacious multistorey 3-bedroomed 6-sleeper, and offers magnificent views of the Crocodile River. The bedrooms are furnished with comfortable king-size and single beds with en-suite bathrooms, and two rooms have private viewing decks. The house is equipped with solar water heaters and a backup power generator for convenience.

The kitchen is fully equipped with a stove, fridge and tea and coffee facilities while the lounge offers comfortable seating. One of the outdoor dining areas overlooks the river while a second overlooks the private plunge pool. The perfect place to take in the magic of the African bush!

Majuli River House is a rustic and charming 2-bedroomed 4-sleeper home that offers spectacular views of the Crocodile River. The main bedroom has a queen-size bed, the second room offers 2 single beds with a full bathroom. A sleeper couch is also available. The ground-floor kitchen has a stove, oven and a fridge. Comfortable seating is available in the lounge which opens to the outdoor braai area and private plunge pool.

The extended deck looks out over the river and is a wonderful place to spot all the Big 5.
