As caretakers of the Amakhala Game Reserve, we have implemented rigorous anti-poaching measures. To assist in covering the significant costs associated with these efforts, we are introducing a Conservation Levy. This crucial contribution ensures that the wildlife and natural splendor of the reserve can be preserved for generations to come.

Starting from 1 March 2020, the Conservation Levy will be increased slightly for adults to R140 per person per night, while for children under 12 years, it will be reduced to R70 per person per night. Please note that these changes will only impact guests staying at Amakhala lodges with a check-in date from 1 October 2020 onwards.
