About Buhala Lodge

Buhala Lodge is an enchanting five star colonial style thatch roof lodge, situated on the Southern banks of the Crocodile River. The ample outdoor veranda space, provides all guests an opportunity to relax and dine outside while admiring gorgeous views of the Kruger National Park, and all the wild life splendor it has to offer. Members of the Big 5 are frequent visitors to our property along with many other species such as a variety of antelope.The lodge is a family owned and run business which focuses on guest comfort and relaxation paired with all the luxury you would expect.A fully licensed

Safari: Full day safaris done by our own guide with our open safari vehicle. Safaris are done in the Kruger National Park.

Spa: Our little bush spa overlooks the Kruger National Park and the Crocodile River and with the selection of treatments makes for the perfect way to relax after a long day.

Golf: - Access to Leopard Creek Golf Course - South Africa's best golf course - Kambaku Golf Club a short drive away - Skukuza Golf Club, situated inside the Kruger National Park

Wedding Venues: We cater for weddings of up to 50 guests. Ceremony takes place on our beautiful viewing deck underneath the sausage tree and the three course dinner for the reception, takes place on our outdoor veranda overlooking the Park and the river.

Family friendly: - 2 family suites - each can accommodate 2 adults and 2 children under the age of 12. - swimming pool, cycling and large gardens

Romantic: Beautiful Honeymoon suite with romantic four poster bed overlooking the Kruger National Park and the Crocodile River. Activities such as safari's and night drives are arranged. Romantic dinners are served by candle light under the stars.

Covid Safety Approved: Buhala follows the FEDHASA guidelines and our staff have been trained on COVID19 preparedness. We use approved disinfectants, PPE and hand hygiene. Due to our size and location situation social distancing is easy to practice.

It was a wonderful time. The service, well, book and see for yourself - excellent. My wife and I will do it again. Very romantic evenings by candlelight and the Elephant Room was just what I wanted - private.

We had a very nice stay at Buhala, a gorgeous room with beautiful river view. The food was ok, but had to pay extra for everything (dinner and game drive).

This is the second time we have stayed at Buhala and once again we were not disappointed. Our room was enormous and very comfortable; dinner was excellent, with the food being beautifully cooked and presented. The staff were helpful without being obtrusive, nothing was too much trouble.
