About Buffalo Thorn Safari Lodge
This 4 star luxury lodge is part of a private game reserve and offer luxury accommodation for an overnight stay or a family break away. Our new colonial styled accommodation embraces nature at every turn and offers al the privacy and superior comfort you would need for uninterrupted relaxation.Four luxury air-conditioned chalets have en-suite bathrooms, outside rock showers, bar fridges and coffee bars. The main building has its fireplace, satellite TV lounge, Wi-Fi and dining room leads on to the big hearty stoep, overlooking the waterhole and makes for great entertainment. The

We can accommodate 40 delegates and have wifi and a whiteboard. Own projector needs to be supplied
The arrangements of the chalets, large boma, swimming pools and well equipped kitchen makes for the ideal venue for a special family occasion. Our Baobab tree is the perfect setting for a special sundowner toast.
The pure setting and luxury of the overnight chalets makes for the ideal romantic break away or for your first night stay when traveling to Botswana, Zimbabwe or Maphungubwe on honeymoon.
We have been approved and certified to accommodate essential workers and have cleaning and safety measures in place to protect them during the current pandemic.

Important Information
Guests arriving on Saturdays are permitted to book in at 11h00.
An inventory is taken the day prior to arrival and again on the following working day.
If any items in the room, be it crockery, linen or towels are damaged either by sunscreen, peroxide or by any other means which permanently stains such item or if any item is missing, you will be held responsible and be billed for the replacement of such items.
We will notify you within three working days after check-out of such damages (if any) and the cost of replacement thereof.Each room sleeps two guests only (unless prior permission has been received in writing). Should we find that more than two people occupied a room, a R500 penalty per person will be charged.
This does not include Chalet 2 where 4 guests are allowed.
Children need to be accompanied by an adult at all times for their own safety.
Buffalo Thorn Safari Lodge will not be held responsible for any injuries.
Guests may not invite family or friends not staying at Buffalo Thorn Safari Lodge to use their rooms and bathrooms in order to bath/shower before a function.
Buffalo Thorn Safari Lodge is also not responsible for supplying crockery and cutlery for such guests not staying at Buffalo Thorn Safari Lodge.
You are recommended to bring along your own food and snacks.
We do serve a set menu for breakfast and dinner on prior arrangement and sell a few refreshments like wine, soft drinks, beer & ciders.
Breakfast will be served between 7H00 & 9H30 (if applicable) unless alternative arrangements have been made. Dinner will be served between 18h00 & 21h00 (if applicable) unless alternative arrangements have been made.
We do not have credit card facilities.
Outstanding balances must be settled PRIOR to arrival or in cash on arrival.
We sell wood at R 20 / bag and firelighters at R 10 / lighter.
All accounts must be settled the evening PRIOR to departure.
Strictly take note: The main gate must be closed at all times. It closes with a latch and is not locked, It is however locked at 12H00 pm and unlocked at 06H00 am again by our security.
If you arrive after 20h00 a late arrival levy of R150 is payable per group
Upon arrival, guests are to come to the Main Lodge Boma to sign in and pick up their keys if your lodge manager is not on site.
You are responsible for picking up your own room’s keys. NO Keys will be given to a guest for another friend’s / family’s room.
