Blackbrook is personally supervised by the owner, so guests are assured of quality accommodation. We are a small, working farm 8.5km outside of Underberg, overlooking the Southern Drakensberg Mountains. We are pet friendly. Ideally situated close enough to enjoy the attractions of the Southern Berg, quickly pop into town to the shops or for a meal and then relax in the tranquility of the countryside. Sit next to the braai fire at night, listen to reed buck whistle, owls hoot, frogs harmonize and jackal call across the valleys then wake to birdsong and farm life.There are 2 thatched, stone-

Ideally situated close enough to enjoy the attractions of the Southern Berg, quickly pop into town to the shops or for a meal and then relax in the tranquility of the countryside. Sit next to the braai fire at night, listen to reed buck whistle, owls hoot, frogs harmonize and jackal call across the valleys then wake to birdsong and farm life.There are 2 thatched, stone-clad cottages, each in their own fully fenced garden, which can sleep 6 and 4 people respectively. Each cottage has a fully equipped kitchen, open plan lounge area and patios with outside seating and braai facilities. Guests park in the garden under the trees. Guests may fish, kayak and picnic at the dams.Underberg is ideal if you enjoy the outdoors, activities and attractions include the Giant’s Castle hike, the Cobham Nature Reserve, fly fishing in the dams, horse trails and cave hikes. The last 4km to the cottages is a dirt district road and short farm road. There is a surcharge for gas for the portable gas heater (used instead of fireplaces in the cottages) or guests may bring their own 9kg gas bottle.
