Summer days are warm to hot, low humidity, with thunderstorms. Winter days are mild and sunny but the nights can be chilly.Please note that Bateleur’s main focus is on our visitors’ enjoyment of the natural environment. We cater for nature lovers and outdoor enthusiasts like hikers, mountain bikers, birders and those who seek refuge from city life in seclusion and tranquility. Our accommodation, mainly old farm houses with old furniture, is comfortable and clean, but not luxurious.We do not want you to mistake Bateleur for a Pleasure Resort, or an upmarket Game Lodge.Flora is abound in this bird-watchers and wildlife paradise. Bateleur Nature Reserve is famous for its SAHTOA accredited Stamvrug Hiking Trails, consisting of ninedifferent circular- and day trails, laid out amongst the Waterberg Kloofs and Escarpments.
