Our guests have the privilege to witness the abundant wildlife thriving within the remarkable Babanango Game Reserve, spanning over 19,895 hectares of unspoiled wilderness. Prepare to encounter awe-inspiring creatures such as Cheetahs, Leopards, Brown Hyenas, Jackals, Buffaloes, Hippos, Rhinos, Giraffes, Zebras, Elands, Red Hartebeests, Kudus, Nyalas, Mountain Reedbucks, and the elusive Aardvark and Aardwolf. By late 2022, we will introduce the magnificent Lion and Elephant to our reserve, enhancing the already captivating experience.

Babanango Valley Lodge caters not only to wildlife aficionados but also to nature enthusiasts fascinated by the diverse ecosystems surrounding our retreat. Be enchanted by the sight of 32 species of butterflies and the harmonious melody of 311 species of birds, including the rare Pel's Fishing Owl and Narina Trogon. Majestic birds such as the Black Eagles, Lappet-Faced and White-Backed Vultures, Crowned Eagles, and nine breeding pairs of Blue Cranes call our Reserve home.
