About Amaziah Guest House

For a refreshing stopover when travelling in Northern Cape en route to and from Windhoek, Johannesburg, Cape Town to the Kgalagardi Trans frontier Park.

In the middle of the dry expanse of the Kalahari basin lays the green oasis of Kuruman. In its centre is the famous Eye of Kuruman, an inexhaustible sweet water fountain, which has never dried out, even in the longest drought periods, and produces daily 20 million litres of water.

The Guesthouse is the ideal place en route to or from Namibia or Upington. It is located in a very quiet neighborhood of Kuruman. Restaurants are near. The Guesthouse does serve a good breakfast. Staff are very friendly.

What stood out for me was the excellent breakfast which I thoroughly enjoyed. The service, on the whole, was good; the room was clean with all the required appliances.

The notice "if the water is cold the tap is to wide open" because of a gas geyser is not acceptable. If you close the tap the water does become hotter but the... Read more
